One thing you can always count on with Bits of Good is our magnificent launch parties! With the help of Tech Square Club, we were once again able to set the stage for excitement, camaraderie, and fun! This extravaganza not only showcased our wonderful nonprofits and teams, but also provided a platform for members to connect, engage, and relish a memorable evening.
New Member Orientation
An event is only as great as its opening, so we were sure to get one of the greats to open ours. The event kicked off with a New Member Orientation performed by our Associate Executive Director, the one and only Natasha Valluri. Her warm, welcoming energy (and fun ice-breakers) set the scene for the rest of the night.
Our Wonderful Partners
As representatives from our Nonprofit Partners took the stage, there was an undeniable sense of concord and community. The room resonated with heartfelt stories, impactful initiatives, and the persistent diligence of these nonprofit partners. It served as a powerful reminder of the strength that emerges when students and nonprofits join hands to drive meaningful change.
We proudly announced a two new partnerships last night as well. The Atlanta Professional Fire Foundation is a dedicated organization committed to raising funds for our brave firefighters. Firefighters play an irreplaceable role in safeguarding our community and responding to emergencies with unwavering dedication. We look forward to making a lasting difference in the lives of firefighters and ensuring that their sacrifices are acknowledged and appreciated by all.
Furthermore, Jennifer Ann’s Group is a non-profit devoted to eradicating teen dating violence. Created in the honor of teen dating violence victim Jennifer Ann, this organization recognizes the importance of spreading awareness around teen dating violence. By providing resources and educational initiatives, they support systems to adolescents, empowering them with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate relationships safely. It is our honor to be working with them and the rest of our non-profit partners.
Our Non-Profit Partnership Committee
This organization is built off of our partnerships with non-profits, so we’d like to give a special shout-out to our Non-Profit Partnership Committee and their Director, Eunice Kim, for forging these friendships! Their research, communication, and outreach is what keeps Bits of Good growing! When asked about her Launch Party experience and hopes for the new semester, Kim stated, “Launch Party was really fun! I think it was great seeing everyone [and] all these new faces, it’s really heartwarming and exciting. For this new semester, I’m excited that we have more people in NPP. Hopefully we’ll have more outreach and I will have more time to plan community volunteering days and activities.“
Building Bonds
One of the highlights of the evening was the opportunity for members to interact beyond their usual committees or teams. The Launch Party served as a melting pot for “boggers” from different departments to come together, fostering a sense of unity.
This was more than just an event; it was a testament to Bits of Good's vibrant culture, where success is celebrated, connections are forged, and every individual plays a crucial role in the journey towards greatness. Here's to more achievements, more laughs, and many more memorable events in the future!
