And We've Lifted Off!
Step into the world of Bits of Good, where innovation meets community and fostering bonds beyond the workplace is not just a priority, but a passion. From playing board games and drinking hot chocolate to watching a Lunar New Year Lantern Show, the essence of our organization’s culture shone brightly as we delved into a week of unforgettable experiences. Join us as we reflect on a week filled with joy, growth, and the unmistakable spirit of Bits of Good.
Hot Beverage Night
Our wonderful Brand Committee and Non-Profit Partnership Committee jumpstarted LiftOff with a much-anticipated Hot Beverage Night. Members gathered in the very cozy Howey L3 lecture room to unwind and connect over steaming cups of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Fueled by the comforting aroma of freshly brewed beverages, Hot Beverage Night provided the perfect setting to prepare for our first General Meeting of the semester!
Game Night
At Bits of Good, we believe that rivalry has no space in a professional working environment. It’s a good thing Game Night was not professional. Members gathered the evening of February 1st to engage in some friendly competition, hosted by out very own Product and Engineering Departments. Game Night provided a refreshing opportunity for our team to bond outside of work tasks, fostering stronger connections and a sense of ‘boggerhood’. As the evening drew to a close, it was evident that these moments of leisure and laughter are integral to nurturing a vibrant and supportive community at Bits of Good.
Bracelet Making
Bits of Good's marketing department organized a charming bracelet-making event tailored for members of the organization. Held within the vibrant General Meeting room, participants immersed themselves in a creative journey, weaving together threads of friendship with Dorito-dust-covered fingers. This event not only provided an opportunity for artistic expression but also strengthened the sense of affinity among Bits of Good's dedicated members. It was proof of Bits of Good's commitment to fostering connections and making a positive impact, one bead at a time.
Lunar New Year Lantern Show
Many members joined our Alumni Director, Isa Piboolnuruk, on the night of February 3rd for a Lunar New Year Lantern Show! Surrounded by vibrant hues and intricate designs, the lanterns adorned Atlantic Station, illuminating the night with cultural splendor. Attendees gathered beneath the softly glowing lanterns and were immersed in a celebration of tradition and unity. This enchanting evening had our members rejoicing in the spirit of the Lunar New Year, creating fun memories while embracing the rich tapestry of cultural heritage.
Paper and Clay
Bracelet making isn’t the only Arts and Crafts our members can do! Bits of Good's Design department gave yet another opportunity for Bits of Good members to unleash their creativity at Georgia Tech’s Paper and Clay center this past Sunday! Custom pottery and ceramics in need of painting was the perfect way to unwind and prepare for the upcoming week. As clay took shape and pots were decorated, the event not only showcased the artistic talents within the organization but also provided a refreshing break from the digital realm, encouraging members to connect on a more tangible level. Overall, the paper and clay event was a resounding success, sparking joy and fostering a deeper appreciation for the boundless possibilities of creativity and art.
That’s another successful LiftOff in the books! Through a diverse array of events and activities, members of different departments and committees had the opportunity to bond and laugh, strengthening our organization’s culture and laying the foundation for a great semester. We can’t wait to see what the next few months brings!
